Visualisation of (3D) data
For some time now, 3D (CAD) models have been the basis of many processes. Examples of 3D models are technical drawings, BIM models and detailed rendering models. However, the computing power of today's mobile devices falls short to represent extensive models in an augmented reality experience. Therefore, data files must first be made smaller and provided with realistic AR structures. Due to our previous experience and expertise on visualisation of data we are able to fully automate such processes. It is thereby possible to make the 3D data available on different devices, so that the same experience can be offered for iOS, Android and even Windows users.
An increasing number of organizations are starting to make use of 3D models to make a difference, for both enhanced cooperation with customers and marketing and sales. This results in very diverse projects. From water boards that struggle with climate change to B2B & B2C solutions for a supplier of mannequins that can be used as a collaborative tool in the R&D process.
The process of achieving quick results
We start by analysing the required (meta) data from the original 3D model (for example from an AutoCAD or 3DSMAX file). In addition, we translate the data into special code, making the file much smaller while still providing the same visual quality. This process makes the file quickly visible on a whole range of devices.
We use three simple steps to achieve quick results.
- We start with a hands-on workshop to show where the opportunities lie within your organization.
- We then realize an augmented reality prototype which can be used inspire and convince internal stakeholders.
- Finally, we do a technical feasibility study of your augmented reality ideas.
